Primary Colours

modaFix red dressFor anyone who follows my blog, you may have noticed I like PRIMARY COLOURS worn together. For a wedding last week I wore a red dress, blue heels and yellow beads.

You can never go wrong with a red dress for a wedding. Whatever the season, this is a classic shade that won’t go out of fashion.

This shape is quite unusual and I was unsure of it at first, but I’ve learned to just go with my gut. I picked it up on sale in River Island in Galway last summer. Despite only being available in larger sizes, I bought it and got it altered to fit as I saw its potential. It’s a good idea to grab a bargain when you see one. That way you’re never stuck for something to wear.

There will always be an occasion to celebrate and an excuse to dress up.

The wedding took place at Cromleach Lodge, which was a truly stunning setting. It was the most beautiful, sun-shining day this summer.

I’ve been dressing on a budget a lot lately; the blue faux suede heels are Penneys‘ finest. As you know, I love to support local designers. The yellow beads were something I invested in several years ago, made locally in Sligo by a jewellery designer.
