DIY Ripped black jeans

Trend to try: Ripped black jeans.

Fashion really does come full circle. Ripped jeans are back! A personal favourite are black jeans this season. Try your hand at some refashioning.

What you need:

  • black jeans
  • scissors
  • tweezers
  • grater

Levi's by modaFixThis process is much the same as my refashioned, distressed Levi’s cut-off shorts from summer. Read blog post here.

For this particular task I picked up this cheap and cheerful (approximately €22) pair of black Lee denim jeans in TKmaxx. I really love the cut and fit of this pair. It may be wise to practise on a cheap pair from Penneys first. Lee jeans | modaFixBut really I think you should be fearless and just go for it! There is no such thing as a mistake when it comes to your own designs. Everyone has their own individual style and desired effect.

1. Get cutting.

2. Distress with grater.

3. Pull out individual threads with your tweezers.
