This is your chance to get creative in a relaxed, informal environment and it’s all for a great cause. Rory Gallagher is a two year old boy affected by Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy causing increased muscle tone, stiffness and tightness of his limbs, which creates problems when trying to walk.
Our aim is to help raise much needed funds to enable Rory to undergo a life changing operation (SDR) to improve his mobility, sitting, standing, transitions between postures, balance and overall comfort, helping him lead a much more independent life.
Without the surgery, Rory would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort due to the tightness in his legs.
How can you help?
Come along to our ‘Refashion Workshop’ on Sunday, 1st February at 1-3pm. The girls from Hullabaloo and I are hosting this event at Hullabaloo, Pearse Road, Sligo to encourage you to get creative. You will make your very own, bespoke accessories and give your old garments a fashionable facelift. Bring a plain T-shirt or jumper to upcycle by putting your own stamp on it. All materials supplied and all proceeds go to Rory Gallagher’s Wish To Walk.
We hope to see you there. All ages welcome. A great workshop is in store.
