Look 1: The Maxi
For the first couple of nights on your holidays, I always think a maxi dress or skirt is a great option. You may not feel the most confident baring your pasty, translucent legs, which haven’t seen the sunlight for 12months! At least if you’re comfortable, you”re going to feel confident. For our first evening in Viadana I wore a maxi dress from Roxy, which I picked up about 5 years ago at Universal Studios, Hollywood. It has served me so well as I tend to rewear the same summer clothing year on year and only update with a couple of garments. I opted for this particular gúna as Ireland were playing and the whole crew sported some shade of green.
These images were taken in Parma after the match. At this stage I’d been up for a good 36 hours with no sleep and I was exhausted! To break up the monotonous tone I added some chunky white beads from The Curiosity Shop (Sligo) and a fun polka dot scarf from TKMaxx. I always recommend scouring thrift shops and charity shops for unique accessories. My latest fetish is colourful scarves. I’ve bought loads of them the past few months for brightening up and adding interest to basic outfits.
This look is now SOLD, but shop more of my preloved clothing here.
For this trip I had decided I wasn’t going to buy any new clothes – just to make do with what I had and try to sell them on afterwards to my fellow fashionistas on Depop. I have boxes of summer clothing that we only get to wear a couple of times due to our climate in Ireland, so why buy more? Plus, I really don’t have the funds to be forking out on summer fashion!
Thanks for checking out my summer wardrobe. Stay tuned for more.
