When packing for a short break I like to pack very light and bring versatile pieces that I can re-wear. After doing a mega closet clear-out recently I’m really trying to stick to casual basics and neutral tones because it’s what I wear most. However, when I go shopping I’m always drawn to stand-out, fun, printed garments… and then I break all my own rules.
Look 1: AIRPORT OUTFIT
It was raining when we left so the FEDORA (River Island menswear) was a must. Buy similar here.
My whole outfit is from Penneys!
I find these high-waisted JEANS to be a very flattering fit. They cost €15 and I’m wearing them a lot these days. Buy jeans here.
The auburn T-SHIRT is oversized and long, but I tucked it in to add definition to my waist.
The waterfall cut navy BLAZER is so handy and I got it on sale for €9! Buy similar here.
The TOTE is my favourite from The Atlantic Equipment Project. I use it all the time for weekend breaks and for work. I’m all about the functionality of fashion and as you know I love to incorporate elements of Irish Design daily… especially accessories. Buy tote here.
PENDANT is Laura Whitmore x Daisy. Buy here.
TRANSFORM THE LOOK
Look 2: DINNER DATE
Blazer: Penneys (€9)
Jeans: Penneys (€15)
On a recent trip to Galway I fell in love with 2 labels: Maje and Sandro at Brown Thomas for their contemporary elegance and feminine flair. I’m going to save up for this Trocadero Line T-shirt in navy too. I want to make a conscious effort to invest in quality, versatile garments and stop succumbing to fast fashion!
I love plain T-shirts. Buy here.
So there you have it: 1 Look, 2 Ways.
By simply changing your T-shirt, you can transform a look! You don’t have to pack your whole wardrobe!
When my hairs messy and untamed I either throw it up in a messy bun or to the side.
I’m partial to the side-pony.
Simple styling is the most effective.
Have a lovely weekend and I hope you found some outfit inspiration from this blog.
