First off, apologies if anyone has missed my blog posts. Over midterm, I took the opportunity to enjoy life offline and get some headspace (I do this during most school holidays). You may have noticed that the only platform I use regularly really is Instagram. Since my last post I enjoyed a mini getaway (so good for the soul!) to Amsterdam to catch up with my friend Brónagh, who lives and works in this pretty city, visited family around the country, tried on some wedding dresses (!) and attended a couple of fantastic events. I must say that it’s difficult to find the time to write about everything, but if I’m not writing online, you can find my monthly favourites in Galway Now Magazine. I share what’s trending in terms of skincare, fashion and lifestyle.
Here’s a snapshot of my March column ‘Trend Bytes’ in Galway Now magazine – hot off the shelf. I’m talking Irish Design, perfect prints, pinafores, educational apps and my current favourite skin solution: Ripe by Roz.
Here’s a quick look at my February Favourites in Galway Now. I shared my recommended reads, discussed Black Mirror on Netflix, up-cycling projects, choosing an engagement ring, Artisan in Galway and of course my fashion fixes.
I also write a monthly column for Sligo Now magazine. My February Favourites included: Pinafores and good quality basics from local boutique ‘Anna’, denim and polka dot shirts, Duolingo, subtle nail art and Cheap Tuesdays at the cinema during Oscar season. Did you enjoy La La Land?
In January I shared 5 Things To Try (January 2017) and many of you seemed to like this blog post style and the variety. I talked about affordable date nights, where to eat, trying aerial yoga at Salt & Soul, my favourite books and TV shows and a recent DIY project. Catch up here.
Well, that’s just a little update for now – I thought it was time I pop on and touch base.
Feel free to get in touch if there’s anything in particular that you’d like me to write about or discuss. In the meantime, pick up a copy of Galway Now… I think it’s such a fab magazine and I’m delighted to be part of it. This month it’s packed full of Irish Design in the run up to the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards (IFIA). Read all about last year’s event in my review here.
Thanks for reading.
