About

modaFix is a style blog by Tríona O’Donnell, brought to you from the west coast of Ireland. Think of it as your online magazine, showcasing local, Irish talent and offering style inspiration.

‘Moda’ is the Spanish term for ‘fashion’ and for any addicts, this is where you will source your daily ‘fix’.

modaFix is an outlet for my creative impulses and interest in all things style related.

The people around me are a constant, daily source of style inspiration. One of my first memories is watching my mum getting ready for work. Her outfit was laid out neatly on the bed. It was a leather pencil skirt in stone grey with some kind of matching gilet. I remember feeling the fabric. I can only assume she teamed this with a printed shirt.

Due to a keen interest in Hispanic culture and language learning, I have travelled extensively throughout Europe, South America, the US and the Caribbean. Third level education gave me the opportunity to live in beautiful cities including: Seville, Bath, Dublin and Edinburgh, with regular trips to London. People watching has greatly influenced my style over the years.

From time to time, I get creative urges and outbursts and love to create jewellery and upcycle clothing. Aged 19, I had a stall at Spitalfields Upmarket in London, where I sold my own handmade jewellery.

I regularly attend creative workshops and enjoying running my own jewellery making and refashioning workshops. For inquiries email: modafixblog@gmail.com

modaFix places a major emphasis on the appreciation and promotion of local, Irish designers, crafters and creatives, as well as independent boutiques.
